10 September, 2008 –The Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team started yesterday in the first stage of the Tour Cycliste Feminin International de l‘Ardèche over 128,1 km from Le Pouzin to Beauchastel.
On the course with one mountain and three intermediate sprints were no escape successful and the race ended with a mass arrival of 46 riders in Beaucastel. In the finish sprint the Olympic champion Nicole Cooke claimed victory ahead of the both Swedish riders Susanne Ljungskog and Emma Johansson. The Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team athletes Christiane Soeder (AUT), Carla Ryan (AUS), Emma Rickards (AUS), Pascale Schnider (SUI), Sarah Düster (GER) and Patricia Schwager (SUI) reached the finish with the first group, are placed with the same time as the winner and keep open all changes in this Tour.
Already today the Tour will continue with a time trial in the morning and in the late afternoon a road race. More information: http://www.tcfia.org/
