Eighth place for Düster in the today’s stage- and overall ranking
7th September, 2008 – The last stage of the Holland Ladies Tour was a challenging and exciting one. The athletes had to give all on the 116,7 km course with start in Valkenburg and finish in Berg en Terblijt.
The Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team showed once more their will to fight, especially Carla Ryan (AUS), who was racing more than 80km on the head. But at the end the power was not enough and the victory took Ina Yoko Teutenberg (GER) 21 seconds ahead Marianne Vos (NED). On third place finished Judith Arndt (GER) while Sarah Düster (GER) from the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team reached on 8th position the finish, 1,29 min behind the winner.
The overall victory of the Holland Ladies Tour took Charlotte Becker (GER), who was controlling the field and finished in today’s race on fifth place 38 seconds behind Teutenberg. Sarah Düster was able to climb with her today’s 8th rank from the 11th position to the 8th place in the overall standing.
Already on Tuesday, the next competition with the “Tour Cycliste Feminine International Ardeche“ in France is on the schedule of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team riders.
