Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team on fifth place in the current overall team ranking
6th September, 2008 – Today, on a round course over 121,5 km in the region of Boxtel (NED) took place the fifth stage of the Holland Ladies Tour. During the race a group of three athletes including Loes Markerink (NED) escaped out of the peloton and hold an advantage until the end of the competition.
The Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team riders presented a good performance and reached the finish together with the peloton 21 seconds behind the winner Loes Markerink. The two other spots on the podium were taken by Marit Huisman und Petra Dijkman (both NED).
Charlotte Becker (GER), who took the seventh place in the today’s race, is still leading in the overall ranking of the Holland Ladies Tour ahead of the both Dutchwomen Irene van den Broek and Iris Slappendel. At the moment, three Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team riders are among the top 20 with Sarah Düster (GER) on 11th position, Pascale Schnider (SUI) on 16th place und Carla Ryan (AUS) on 18th rank while in the current overall team standing the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team is on the fifth position.
Tomorrow, the Holland Ladies Tour will conclude with the sixth stage over 116,7 km from Valkenburg to Berg en Terblijt.
