5th September, 2008 – This evening the fourth stage of the Holland Ladies Tour over 85,2 km from Dedemsvaart to Hardenberg took place. The stage finished with a mass sprint of 69 athletes.
Sarah Düster (GER) demonstrated again her sprint qualities and finish in a field with top athletes on eighth place. The competition was won by their compatriot Ina Yoko Teutenberg ahead of the both Dutchwomen Kirstin Wild and Suzanne De Goede. Emma Rickards had a crash, but was able to continue the race and fought hard to come back into the peloton.
In the overall ranking of the Holland Ladies Tour nothing has changed in the top three. Charlotte Becker (GER) is leading the standing ahead of Irene van den Broek (NED) und Iris Slappendel (NED), while Sarah Düster is on place 11, 1,32min behind Becker.
The fifth stage will take place tomorrow on a round course over 121,5 km around Boxtel (NED).
