Schnider on fifth place in the current overall ranking
2nd September, 2008 – On the today’s Tuesday, the Holland Ladies Tour kicked off in Hellendorrn (NED). On the course over 109,5 km the young Swiss rider Pascale Schnider from the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team impressed with her performance in the intermediate sprints. In the first sprint she finished second and in the second sprint she cross the line as third. With that active ride, she made at the end the fifth rank in the current overall ranking.
The first stage of the Holland Ladies Tour was won in a mass sprint by Ina Yoko Teutenberg (GER) ahead of Kirstin Wild (NED) and Marianne Vos (NED). Emma Rickards (AUS), Carla Ryan (AUS), Sarah Düster (GER), Patricia Schwager (SUI) as well as Pascale Schnider (SUI) came together with the first group into the finish and got the same time like the winner.
Tomorrow will be the second stage of the six-days-stage race. It is a time trial over 20,5 km.
