2 May, 2008 – In the today’s time trial “GP Suisse – Souvenir de Magali Pache“, the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team showed once again a great performance. On the 18,8 km long course around Sion (SUI), it is the same course like the men’s were race in the today’s stage of Tour de Romandie, Christiane Soeder (AUT) from the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling claimed victory in a race time of 28:46:37min ahead of her team-mate Kristin Armstrong (USA, race time 29:08.60 min). The third place took Amber Neben from Team Flexpoint. Karin Thürig (SUI) edged out of the podium and finished 4th, while Priska Doppmann took the 14th place.
„It was a great race for me, I’m really happy. On the flat part and at the beginning of the uphill I tried to race not too fast that I have still power for the last part of the race. This tactic worked out!” said the winner Christiane Soeder.
On Sunday, 04th of May the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team will be at the start of the next race. The World Cup race “Berner Rundfahrt” will start at 12.30h in Lyss (next to Berne) and will consist of 4 rounds with each 33,95 km long. Come and cheering us!
