Armstong won, great team performance
13 April, 2008 – At today’s Novilon Eurocup, a race of the UCI category 1.1 in the Netherlands, Kristin Armstrong (USA) from the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team claimed victory in a race time of 3:25:32h ahead of Regina Bruins and Kirsten Wild (both NED). The former time trial World Champion Armstrong won the race over 137,7 km in the finish sprint shortly ahead of Bruins. After a gap of 26 seconds, Kirstin Wild finished third.
But also, the other team members of the Cervélo-Lifeforce Pro Cycling Team were strong. Sarah Düster (GER) took the 7th place, 28 seconds behind the winner. Emma Rickards finished 18th and Pascale Schnider was 35th; both reached the finish 2:21min behind Armstrong.
On 23rd of April, the fifth World Cup race in on the programme with the famous „La Flèche Wallonne”.
